I'm So Thankful . . .

(great old Caedmon's Call tune)

This about sums up what has been going on in our lives lately.  We're learning a lot and trying to keep up with everything around here.

As you can see, though, even halfway around the world, things don't change too much.  Our Jedi master still has a lot to teach our young knights.  I guess it's a good thing we packed all 3 of the light sabers.  They have a lot of fun with them -- as long as there are no heads in the way.
Also, Chris has been having a lot of fun on the bike that his friend gave him.  They haven't ridden down the street all 3 like this yet, but Jed and Abe both take turns on the seat in front of Daddy.  This is the way that Chris will take one of them to the corner store to pick up 'cold drink' (soda) or bread.
One of our November highlights was having 'Grandpa Gary' come visit us.  We got to know him well last year in Minneapolis and he happened to be close by and stopped in for 3 days.  We took him to our favorite hangout spot near our house.  There is a great lawn to play in and not many people around so we don't have the usual problem of having a bunch of people trying to take pictures of the boys.
Here they are trying to play cricket.  If you don't know what it is, it's a British game that's kind of like baseball.  Chris learned it and has been trying to teach the boys.  Abe just likes that he can run around with a bat (this is the baseball bat, of course, but we just got him a cricket one so he can be authentic).
Here's Jed running with the bat, too.  Jed's turning into quite a baseball batter and cricket bowler (pitcher).
I put this picture in because some of you were wondering what I wear here when I go out.  Most women in this area cover their heads when they leave home, so I do, too.  The hardest part is trying to keep the covering on while holding a kid and some groceries and riding the rickshaw down the road.
Just a fun picture of Abe.  He's such a goofy kid!!!!
Here's Jed getting a high five for a great hit.
Grandpa Gary took a family picture of us as we ate our lunch.  We haven't had one in a while so we really appreciated it.
Not sure if I'd call it a 'highlight', but another big event of November was a road trip.  We went on a trip that, in the US, would have taken us about 6 hours total.  It took us 12 hours on the first day, we spent the night at a hotel, and it took us 10 hours the second day.  Yep, traveling here is a bit different.  We took some pictures out of the windows and along the way, so I just put some of them in here so that you can see some of what we see.

Here we got out and stretched our legs.  Jed and Abe just love to throw rocks around.
And here I am coming back from a potty break.  Just to let you know, squatting behind a tree while 8 months pregnant with a lot of people around isn't something I'd recommend trying!
Going over a long bridge.  Following a horse cart.  Passing a tractor.  There were also people walking and buses.
Some more fun at home.  Jed and Abe love making biscuits with me.  Sometimes we turn them into donuts -- which they like even more.
Now for some pictures of what we can see from the windows of our house.  Here's a construction site.
 Families on rickshaws.
 Motorcycles and people walking
This ancient road smoother-outer tractor thing.
Some guys mixing mortar.  Well, one guy mixing and one guy 'supervising'.
 Our neighbor's daughter.
 The rooftops of Kite City.

A big truck delivering dirt (not a dump truck).  There are a couple guys that jump out and shovel dirt out the back.
And something I love to see inside:  Chris and the boys lounging in the hammock that Chris hung in our bedroom.  We can take it down or put it up quite easily and it's been such a blessing to have a comfy place to chill until we get some furniture.

Another picture to prove that life is feeling a bit normal.  Chris jamming out on the guitar . . .
And Jed jamming out on the air guitar.
 And Abe trying on hats.

And here's the picture some of you have been asking for.  I've got about 2 1/2 weeks until my due date.   Baby Adamow will be the star of the show in our next blog!
Love you all.  Write or skype us sometime.
