Leaving in a Hyundai

We're heading out of Minneapolis in 2 1/2 weeks and it's going so quickly! Thankfully, we've been able to do a lot of our favorite things lately as we prepare to say goodbye to our home for the past year. One of those things is playing outside our house. The boys just run around, blow bubbles, fill their dump truck, draw with chalk, play baseball, etc. On this day, Daddy was letting them run around wherever they wanted.

A new and cute thing with the brothers is that Jed thinks Abe needs help getting up and down the driveway -- which is sometimes true. He's so careful with his little brother :)Here's Jed practicing his running -- he's getting faster, but Mama and Daddy can still catch him!
Here's another favorite thing -- bike riding with Daddy. Here is Abe on his first-ever ride of the season! Can you believe this was in February in Minneapolis?
And of course, I had to throw in a boy-in-a-hat picture. Daddy's hats are always the coolest.
Abe just chillin' out. Check out that face!
Another favorite thing is when family comes to visit. Grandma Lee and Papa Jim came the weekend after Abe's birthday. We had a wonderful time -- but didn't get many pictures. Grandma Lee spent a lot of time reading books . . .

And Papa Jim spent a lot of time laughing with the boys.Last week, Caroline and Naomi came for a visit and we did many of the boys' favorite things -- mostly because Jed wanted to show Naomi everything he loves about living in MN. The first place we visited was his park!

We also took a trip to the zoo -- and they got to ride in the wagon!
Here is the big bronze tortoise that is at the start of the rain forest walk.

There is a play-place in the park and Abe decided he was ready for a snack. He stayed there for a while waiting for a bug to fly by, but no luck!
Here's our favorite primate -- it's a gibbon. Can you see her hanging by one arm out on the very edge of that limb? Pretty cool!
Walking around the outside area quickly -- trying to make it to the bird show. Sadly for us, the bird show was in another part of the park that day and we missed it. That's what I get for not reading . . .
Another thing we did was go to a flower show at the Macy's store downtown. It as pretty incredible. A whole floor of flowering plants. This toucan was even made of flowers. Naomi was in heaven. Jed was ready to go. . .

Here we are back at the park a different day. I just love the boys in their hoodies.

Abe waiting for his big brother to come down the slide.
Jed coming down the slide.
Here's our playground at our park. We're going to miss this . . .
Now we jump to the amusement park inside the Mall of America. We had some leftover points from a few times ago and bought some more so that all the kids could go on a few rides -- The grown-ups even got to share in the fun! This is the ferris wheel.
And the roller coaster.
Eager kids waiting their turn.
Here's another trip to the MOA with Aunt Amy. She and Grandma Adamow came in mid-Feb. but I guess we didn't get a lot of pictures of that trip. Here the boys are enjoying a train ride.
And the boys and I on the ferris wheel -- I love their big eyes in this picture!
And now a few pictures eating. Both of our boys enjoy eating, so I guess we'll end with these. Here's Jed at the dinner table before his haircut.

And the breakfast table after his haircut. And Abe eating his birthday cookie!
And a wonton
And a blueberry pancake. This guy has developed a hollow leg! Every meal he just keeps eating whatever you'll shovel into his mouth. His favorite new word is AMEN! He thinks it means 'let's eat'. We always pray before the meal and then all say Amen. Then, Abe says Amen, too. If you don't get the food to his mouth quick enough, he keeps saying it again and again with more and more emphasis until you get the point. amen, a - men, AAAA-MEN!

So, with that, we will be packing up our life here, filling up our Hyundai and setting off on our great gypsy adventure for the next few months. We look forward to seeing many of you as we make our way around the country. Thanks for loving us -- we love you. AAAAAMEN!
