Turning the Page

What a whirlwind! It has been a pretty crazy month since our last entry and we have so much to show and tell you. First, though, I'll just share some pictures of how much our little family is still enjoying each other even in the midst of the craziness.

These boys really love each other! Jed often asks to crawl up to where I'm holding Abe, or where he's sitting alone so that he can give him a hug and kiss. Abe rewards Jed with big smiles and has even started cooing at him. When there are lots of people in a room, we still see Abe's eyes fixed on his older brother. God has been answering our prayers that they would be close and that there would be no rivalry between them. We'll keep praying.

Here's Daddy getting in on the fun. I'm guessing this would be about 6:30 in the morning and that Chris had been up for about an hour by this point. Jed really loves to get up with the sun. Daddy really loves to snuggle with his boys.
Here he is looking a little more put together.
And this was a wake-up party on another day.
Think Daddy has all the fun? Think again!

Now, for those of you who haven't seen Abe in a while, he's getting more and more expressive. These shots are thanks to Grandma Lee who was trying to capture some new expressions.
I think we may have a comedian on our hands.
Who wants a kiss?
Ready for a walk to the park!

And some faces of Jed. Here are his new sunglasses that Grandma Adamow got for him.
And he's 'taking pictures' with Daddy's headlamp.
And this is when he and Daddy were playing 'hockey'.
He's 2!!!! Hard to believe, but Jed turned 2 on May 13th. Grandma and Grandpa Adamow were able to come in for the celebration. We were going to try to have it at the park, but it was cold and drizzly so we changed our minds and squeezed everyone into our house.

Happy Birthday to You!
'Like this, Jed!'
He finally got them both.
Here are Grandma and Grandpa enjoying 'Boo Boo and Peanut'.

Now we're jumping a bit to when Grandma Lee and Papa Jim came to help us move. We got a lot less pictures of their visit because we were pretty much working like crazy from the moment they arrived. They are rock stars!!! We also had 10 people come on moving day to help with everything. We felt so encouraged and loved. There is no way we could have done it without them.
Jumping back . . . we had quite a few visitors during those last few weeks. We wanted to get to see everyone one more time before our big move.

The Adamow and Gato boys. Forever friends.
April came to visit. She's moving soon, too.
Cousins Craig, Jesse, and Rocco got to visit from Virginia before we moved. We had a fun evening with them.

Rocco and Jed are getting a good start on the family band:)

Here's our friend Andy who gave Jed 'Baby's First Knife'. Ask if you want the whole story.
Emily got to come, too. The boys sure got a lot of loving!
Another visit from the Gatos.
Miss Vivian is a gem:)
Our last day in Carbondale was a Sunday and our last hours were spent at Vine Church. What a fitting way to move forward. Our friends prayed for us two different times -- sending us out in the best way possible -- with God's blessing. We are so thankful for all of them. They didn't begrudge us leaving. They are excited about what God has asked us to do and how God might use us. We know that none of our last few weeks and our next few weeks would be possible without these -- and many other -- prayers.

And now some pictures of our goodbye party on Friday and our goodbyes at church on Sunday. These friends mean the world to us and we will miss them! As many as are pictured, there are still more who we didn't get final pictures with. Maybe when we come visit:)

Saying goodbye to our old house.
Saying hello to our new house!
We stopped at my parents' house on Sunday night and had dinner with my grandparents and then took off for Minneapolis Monday morning. This is the guest house for WMPL missionaries or their friends and family. We are able to live here at least until December and are very thankful!
The downstairs.

I was walking down the stairs and Jed came behind me and said 'Help Mama'. This was his idea of helping me. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he almost sent us tumbling down the stairs!
About half of the pile of boxes.
We have use of two rooms on the third floor. The first is the boys' bedroom/bathroom.
The other is our bedroom.
Kitchen.
and living room. Daddy and Jed needed some winding down.
Chris is thrilled about the desk and has taken it over.
Thankfully, there is also a park within walking distance. Jed really likes the part where there are sand toys to play with like this scooper.
So, to sum up, we're in! We'll be sending our prayer newsletter out soon, so there will be more info about how training is going on that. If you'd like our newsletter and don't receive it, just let me know and I'll get it to you. We love you all and miss you already. The Adamow Crew.
